Falling apart but still going strong

I have owned this cookbook for almost 30 years. The pages are falling out and it has seen its better days, but of all the cookbooks I own this one is still the best!

Pots, Pans & Pioneers

Since I lost all of my books in Hurricane Katrina I have been trying to obtain certain cookbooks. This happens to be one of them. I am THRILLED that I found this particular book. It means SO MUCH to me!
I have nothing but POSITIVE reviews for Amazon.com. In fact, it is where I have been replacing items I lost and will contine to use in the future.

South Louisiana Staple

The Pots Pans and Pioneers series of cookbooks are a staple in any South Louisiana kitchen. These are the first cookbooks I ever used when my Mother was teaching me how to get around in the kitchen and they're still my go-to reference. They might be old and a bit out-of-date, but there is a wealth of knowledge contained in the pages. I've scribbled notes on nearly every recipe I've tried in order to modify it and make it my own. The Crawfish Etouffee with the golden mushroom soup is still my favorite. Just a little note, try poblano in place of bell pepper to "kick it up a notch"!
