Now what I expected.

I love Anne Rice's work and try to read and review it when I can. Unfortunately, I felt that this graphic novel adaptation didn't live up to my expectations.
I know that trying to fit an entire novel into maybe 200 illustrated pages is a difficutl task, but I feel that something was lost in the translation of this one. Maybe it's because you don't get Rice's poetic, sensual, vivid prose in a graphic novel, or maybe it's because nothing looks like it did in my mind. But this adaptation didn't thrill me like I thought it would.
Still, the artwork is beautiful and it covers the major events of the story well. That's something to count in its favor, at the very least.

this is must for ann rice coleection the real book is better but for a graphic novel and comic book collecter this is a great book and the art is wonderful wonderful story - one of my favorites as well as the other one she did claudia's story - not the real books but still really good

Ann Rices wolf collection is great

Read the book and the second book Wolves of mid winter and they are both great books to read and i cant wait for the new one to come out. I was so dissapointed after finishing the second book knowing i had to wait for the next one, but cant wait for it.
