An Eye Opener of the Sudden-Severe-Abrupt Rise of Obama in the Political Arena

I always doubted the speed of light by which Obama was risen to the highest echelons of the US politics... Always wondered where this immunity against any type of criticism comes from...Wayne Madsen had shed light on the role of the CIA in making their man rise to the highest position in the Government (president of the US). The book discusses logically the choice of his Mother to marry, in a very short period of time, two completely different foreign men having only one thing in common between them, which is their roles in their countries as CIA agents in the pinnacle of the US-Soviet Union grab of power in Africa (Kenya where Hussein Obama Senior came from) and Asia (Indonesia where Lieutenant Colonel Lolo Soetero, Obama's stepfather came from). The book makes sense about the vague picture of Obama's career and University records which was sketchy and full of illogical bounces between reputable job in New York to community organization in the most notorious South Chicago gang infested area... It is almost impossible to obtain evidence about the most powerful person in the US (a President) from the most powerful clandestine system in the country (CIA)...So whoever criticizes the book of not having enough evidence is really living in the "lala" land not the real world...Good job and excellent research from Wayne Madsen and it is a must read book for the inquisitive minds who seek reality and want to gain their sanity about what is happening in the US presidency....

Connect-the-Dots Indictment of an Indictable President

I am a liberal, progressive pinko sympathizer. I also despise Barack Obama as a neo-con wolf in liberal sheep's clothing. Despite what the Fox network white trailer trash crowd thinks, Obama is as reactionary an imperialist and capitalist as Dumbya Bush ever was. But the fact he is half black (more to the point, that he LOOKS black) makes him the perfect foil for the plutocracy that controls the CIA to manipulate the gullible American public. Madsen tries to make the case that "Barry" Obama has been a CIA operative for a long time. Conceptually I find this thesis not only plausible but it goes a long way to explain why his foreign and domestic policies are so contrary to every liberal ideal he supposedly espouses. In fact, he not only does not believe in liberalism, Marxism or any other leftism, he is actively opposing those who support such philosophies. But Madsen only makes his case by insinuation and association, such as his mother's anthropological activities funded by known CIA fronts such as USAID. Don't get me wrong, though; I believe that Obama IS CIA through and through. It's just that Madsen has no "smoking gun" document to make that case. However, when dealing with the CIA, masters of deceit, disinformation, double crossing and false flagging, it may well be that efforts such as this book are as close to the truth as we'll ever get. For any liberal like me looking for an explanation as to why Obama does what he does, Madsen's connect-the-dots tome will lead you to similar conclusions. But he desperately needed a better editor and proof reader.

Must Have in Your Library

Madsen is one of the better independent journalists in the US. He doesn't write a lot of books, mostly short articles that are posted on his for-pay site, but this volume is the best of the lot so far. Get this book before it goes out of print and starts selling for top-dollar. Subscribe to his newsite, too. It's relatively cheap and gives you the real news before the corporate media gets hold of it if they even over the type of coverage that Madsen provides. I'm sure that the NYT all the way down the corpo-news food chain read him daily.

A great deal of information, but assumes prior experience with the language in question (unlike earlier volumes in this series)

The Cambridge University Press series "X: a Linguistic Introduction" started out with books that gave readers with a strong background in linguistics a quick and convenient introduction to what made the unfamiliar language in question tick. That's how the volumes for e.g. Maori, German, and Romani were.

Later, however, Cambridge UP changed the formula, and Karen C. Ryding's ARABIC: A Linguistic Introduction is different from the earlier volumes in the series. Now these books are meant to serve as university textbooks, and come with exercises and questions for discussion at the end of each chapter. Ryding's presentation also expects the reader to have a strong background in Arabic already, so if you are a linguist who just wants to quickly familiarize yourself with Arabic, you'll find that she refers to too many aspects of the language without explaining what they are exactly. Even readers with a great deal of Arabic under their belt will be frustrated by the rapid pace of information presented here and the feeling that one is reading a dry outline instead of crafted prose.

Only 20 pages are dedicated to phonology, and it's just a quick listing of *very* general facts (such as the phoneme inventory), but the book does have value as a very detailed examination of Arabic morphology going for it. Ryding's focus is Modern Standard Arabic and we do not get any picture of the famously rich dialectal diversity of the language.

All in all, this will not be a useful book for many linguaphile audiences. Why combine a description more specialist than usual with exercises that seem targeted to undergraduates?

The semester complete it was time to ask students what they thought of their course textbook. The results were unanimous: this textbook superbly supports a first course in Arabic linguistics. Ryding's excellent textbook methodically fills the gap we have had in the field. It could be titled the General Linguistics of Arabic; it covers each subfield - as other reviewers have stated - with clear explanations, well-defined Arabic terms, well-researched references and challenging activities that can engage undergraduate and graduate students alike. Those without background in the field of linguistics will be pleased to find that Ryding has provided needed accessible definitions in each chapter. Her lifelong love and experience in the field of Arabic language and linguistics resonate in this up-to-date work. Critically it offers the reader an intuitive and empathetic approach to learning about the structures and the elegance of formal Arabic.

Integrated Circuit Packaging, Assembly and Interconnections is intended as a multi-purpose text, serving individuals looking for an introduction, or a review, or an update of the various IC packaging, assembly, and interconnection technologies. To this end, it provides an overview of the materials and the processes, as well as the trends and available options that encompass electronic manufacturing. It covers both the technical issues and touches on some of the reliability concerns with the various technologies applicable to packaging and assembly of the IC.

The focus is on the electronic manufacturing process which, in its simplest form, involves assembly of the IC into a package or interconnect substrate or board. The book discusses the various packaging approaches available, namely, single chip, multichip, and Chip On Board; the assembly options, chip & wire, tape automated bonding, and flip chip; and the essential high density package/substrate manufacturing technologies, thin film, thick film, cofired ceramic, and laminate printed wiring board (PWB) processes. Included also is a discussion of high density PWBs using build up/sequential processes.

About the Author

About the Author

A graduate of Fordham University with a BS in Physics Bill has had extensive experience in Microelectronics covering semiconductor processing and assembly, Hybrid Circuits, and PWB fabrication and assembly. He began his career with RCA Semiconductor Division and subsequently worked for General Electric and Lockheed Electronics. While at RCA he was awarded six U.S. patents covering wafer processing and semiconductor assembly. At General Electric he was a staff engineer and consultant for hybrid circuits and PWB manufacturing.

As Manager of Advanced Development at Lockheed, he was directly responsible for the design, construction, and operation of a state of the art Microelectronic Packaging facility supporting research, development, and manufacture of advanced hybrid circuits and multichip modules.

He became an independent consultant in 1988. His clients have included material suppliers, assembly equipment manufacturers, and component manufacturers.

His consulting activities has included work at NASA Headquarters in Washington D.C. where he provided technical expertise and assistance in developing an Advanced Integrated Circuit Packaging and Assembly Program.

Bill specializes in packaging and assembly, focusing on high density substrate manufacturing, and chip assembly including flip chip and chip scale packaging.

His company offers assistance in technology assessment and implementation, and specializes in technical audits of manufacturing operations directed towards yield improvement and reliability enhancement.

He has developed several educational and training courses which are offered at various national and international symposia and on-site presentations.

He is an active member of IMAPS where he is a Fellow of the Society and Past President of the Garden State Chapter.

Great book and an indispensable resource!

I had heard of this book a while back, but was skeptical of buying it, as I heard that the way it was organized made it difficult to use. As I have gotten farther into my songwriting however, the rhyming dictionary I bought in middle school was no longer cutting the mustard. I decided to upgrade, and checked online to see what text the Berklee School of Music songwriting classes were using, and this was one of the required texts. I decided to give it a shot because if Berklee liked it, it had to be acceptable at the least.

After buying this book and using it, I am sorry I didn't buy it sooner. Not only does it have rhyming on the last syluble ("As I FLY, into the SKY" kind of rhymes), it also had rhymes that were in the center of a word (I can't think of anything to post, as I am trying to learn how to use this new form a rhyme), and it has several chapters as at the beginning on meter and using rhymes (might be better for poets than songwriters, but still beneficial).

If you are on the fence about this book, and are serious about your craft (whether it be songwriting, poetry, or something else), just buy it! Once you learn how to use it (which is not that difficult) it is an indispensable resource.

Not what I expected.More So!!!! Turns out Rhyming is a whole new ball game with Rhyming dictionary.Not only one syllable..but 2..3..4..and even 5 syllable words and phrases.Takes awhile to get used to this tpye of rhyming..It goes by phonics.
Not the letters.I am improving my craft .every time I need to look something up.If you are a serious lyricist or poet This book and The Thesaurus are essential.Also Any book by Sheila Davis .One book is "Successfull Lyric Writing..A workbook and text book together.And Sheila Davis has another one out. I highly recommend Her books....Happy writing Donnie (SKYE)

Amazing.

I'm a lyricist for a Hip Hop and also a music producer & performer. So it would be normal to assume one should be equipped with a lyrical arsenal that can rhyme with each & every word without a doubt. I believed that I could rhyme any word based on the phonetics and syllables but I knew one day I would hit a wall when it came to songwriting & stepping up my writing-game. This book or in this case, dictionary, was referred to me by a colleague of mine and explained that he uses it for his online songwriting class for Berklee Music. I became intrigued right away because I needed a new tool that would help enhance my lyrical ability. When I got the book I expected it to be a simple rhyme for rhyme type of book but it actually taps into the technicality of sound & syllable for different words. This is a great book to help you understand meters, phonetics, & other technical aspects for the english language not just for rhyming words but even for everyday use like public & motivational speaking.

Great review books for step 1

Great review books for step 1. Especially Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, Pharmacology and Physiology are great. It contains all the high yield information. Compared to first aid these book offer a lot more information for understanding concepts.
I didn't use a book for behavioral sciences, just did questions. Embryology is good but for Anatomy I definitely recommend a book that has more pictures. The concept of the pathology part was not for me either so I used pathoma instead.

Thank you Littles!

My son, who HATES to read by himself loves the Littles. He is reading these books at school with his teacher, and he made an off-hand commnet about it on the way home. So, I immediately got on Amazon and bought three Littles books. He was SO EXCITED to see them arrive. And - now he is reading on his own after homework is done. Without us prompting him. And gave me a full report on his reading. Well written books, that hold the attention of my 6 year old? Im so there!!! Love the Littles!!! And now a huge fan!
